“This is one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind,” quoted Neil Armstrong.
If the “one giant leap step” means to replicate and maintain conditions of the earth, in order to sustain our existences while sailing in our solar system, then Armstrong’s public statement rings a truth to it. But if it means for mankind to go above and beyond the Earth, the statement is literally false, for the fact that conditions must still be just right to keep us alive in space; so that in reality, we do not leave the earth but take a part of it with us, so that our exit from the earth is just our exit, but not from its conditions (i.e., we’re still not above and beyond the earth; at least, conditionally). In reality, our freedom in space is still then earth’s conditioned. We still need to keep our innate conditional freedom, conditioned, even in space.
When you think about it, the fact that we have to still replicate at least some of our earth’s conditions in solar system travel, is enough to factually demonstrate that we’re actually very conditionally limited in space, in contrast to the full freedom we have within our earth’s conditional confinements. It may feel that an astronaut is going above and beyond, but that’s in feeling only (a feeling that limits one from his/her innate conditional freedom in a mediated unconditional environment). The concept of going above and beyond, in this actuality, is actually descending in conditions (and it’s only ascending in feeling and thoughts).
The answers we seek may not necessarily be out there, after all. Of what benefit is to sail across the universe unconditionally (with very little physical limitations) to seek answers for, when our full conditional earth confinements are at stake in climate changes. We should instead keep sailing terrestrially, and seek answers to our problems within us before we destroy the conditions that, if not preserved, our freedom to exist will be no longer.
Where ever we go, we are always earthbound.
